How To Use United States Postal Service Tracking Online
So you've mailed your holiday packages and are also awaiting a few to arrive to you as well. If you shipped the packages via the USPS (or if the person shipping packages to you shipped via USPS) you can use the handy United States Postal Service tracking feature online. United States Postal Service tracking will give you up-to-the-minute package delivery information directly from the USPS. This is updated daily by the USPS and will show your package progress en route to it's destination as well as the date and time of delivery. This is handy to confirm if a package was delivered or to check on a package which is delayed. To use the United States Postal Service tracking feature online follow these easy steps:
- Go to the USPS website or use the Shipping Sidekick package tracking feature.
- Follow the package tracking link.
- Enter your United States Postal Service tracking number.
You'll then be given the whereabouts of your package. Please do note that United States Postal Service tracking information is updated every evening. As such, if a package was delivered on the same day it may not show up as delivered until the next day. Similarly, if a package was submitted to the Post Office it may not show up in their system until the next day. United States Postal Service tracking is available for Express Mail, Express Mail International, Priority Mail, International Priority Mail, Media Mail and First Class packages. It is not available for First Class Letters or Parcel Post.
