Lone Star Overnight Introduces New Inclusive Rate Option

To provide its customers with more choices and flexibility in shipping, Lone Star Overnight (LSO), a Texas-based regional overnight package delivery company, has introduced a new inclusive pricing option for its priority products.

The new LSO Simple shipping option matches the leading national competitors' published rates for the equivalent 10:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. overnight services for the appropriate zone and weight combination, but with no pickup fees, residential delivery fees, extended delivery fees or fuel surcharges added on. The LSO Simple option is available with the carrier's LSO Basic and LSO Economy Overnight shipping services, including LSO Early Service or Saturday Delivery, for shipments tendered through the carrier's website at www.lso.com.

"We created our new Simple option in response to customers who told us they wanted an easy-to-understand rate with no additional charges for extra service features," explained Lone Star Overnight's CEO Rick Jones. "Now, our customers can either select our traditional competitive pricing, at base rates up to 35% lower than the national carriers, and just add the cost of any additional services they need or they can choose the Simple option without the complexity of extra fees or fuel surcharges for most additional services. Either way, the same great service features apply. The choice is theirs on every eligible shipment."
