American Express OPEN® Enhances Small Business Savings Program with FedEx Freight

American Express OPEN and FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) will now offer the OPEN Savings® program to FedEx Freight customers using their AMEX OPEN card for payment of LTL (less-than-truckload) shipping services.

Cardmembers will now save 5% on FedEx Freight shipping services. FedEx customers also can continue to save 5% on FedEx Express and FedEx Ground shipments and on select FedEx Office print and businesses services when using their AMEX OPEN card for payment. FedEx and American Express have worked together since 1998 to provide discounts and a single resource for shipping, office products and print services to small businesses.

Save Money On Small Business Shipping

"Small businesses are savvy and they are constantly looking for ways to improve their bottom line," said Laurie Tucker, FedEx senior vice president of corporate marketing. "The expansion of our shipping offering will now allow AMEX OPEN cardmembers to save on crucial FedEx Freight shipments."

OPEN Savings gives small business owners automatic savings virtually every time they use an American Express® Business Card to make purchases at any OPEN Savings partner. Cardmembers are able to apply their OPEN Savings on top of any other partner sales, discounts or promotions.

OPEN Savings has delivered more than $425 million in savings to American Express Business Cardmembers since 2004. The small business savings program eliminates the need for offer codes, coupons or program enrollment and provides automatic savings from well-known brands. Savings can also be combined with other marketplace offers or volume discount pricing that businesses may already be receiving from program partners.

OPEN Savings is a benefit embedded within all American Express® Business Cards. American Express OPEN Cardmembers simply need to use their credit or charge card for purchases with any OPEN Savings partner to take advantage of discounts. The savings automatically appear on the Cardmember's monthly statement and can be tracked at www.opensavings.com. OPEN Savings discounts are calculated on the full transaction amount, including any taxes and surcharges. Terms and conditions apply.*
