Thanksgiving Holiday Schedules for FedEx, UPS, DHL and the US Post Office
In observance of the Thanksgiving Holiday all major US shipping companies will be closed on Thanksgiving day, Thursday November 24th. Specific Thanksgiving holiday shipping schedules are as follows:
FedEx
FedEx will be closed and not delivering on Thanksgiving Day with the exception of FedEx Custom Critical service. All FedEx services will be open with pickups and deliveries taking place on Friday, November 25th. FedEx Home Delivery and FedEx Express will deliver on Saturday, November 26th while FedEx Ground and FedEx SmartPost will be closed. FedEx will return to a normal operating schedule on Sunday, November 27th.
UPS
UPS will not be delivering on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 24th with the exception of UPS Express Critical. In addition, only UPS Air and International will be picked up and delivered the day after Thanksgiving, Friday, November 25th. Normal UPS pickup and delivery will resume on Saturday, November 26th.
In addition, there will be no ground pickup or delivery on Friday, November 27, 2009. UPS will, however, offer pickup and delivery of air and international packages on Friday. Both FedEx and DHL will be closed for Thanksgiving with normal services resuming on Friday, November 27th.
DHL
DHL will be closed on Thanksgiving Day with no pickups or deliveries taking place. Normal service will resume on Friday, November 25th.
US Post Office
The US Post Office will not be delivering on Thanksgiving Day. All Post Offices will be closed and no pickups will take place with the exception of delivery of Express Mail designated for holiday delivery. Regular service will resume on Friday, November 25th. All US post offices will be closed on Thanksgiving and no USPS carrier delivery will take place. UPS will be closed with no air, ground or international pickup or delivery on Thanksgiving.
